Frequently Asked Questions

Calm answers about our handmade textiles, the people who make them, and the small practical details of ordering, shipping and care.

  • Yes. Each piece is embroidered or woven by hand. Our fabrics come from Uzbekistan, and the frames are handmade in Prague.

  • Suzani is traditional embroidery from Uzbekistan, worked by hand on cotton or silk. Ikat is a fabric in which the threads are dyed before weaving, so the patterns have a soft, blurred edge. Each one carries its own history.

  • We photograph every piece as it really is. Because the materials are natural, the colours can vary slightly from screen to screen, and the tones can appear a little different in daylight.

  • Every artwork has its own size, shown in centimetres with the frame included. Measure the wall space you have in mind and compare. If you are unsure, email us at easteriastore@gmail.com and we will help you choose.

  • Hang it away from direct sunlight and damp areas. Dust it gently with a soft, dry cloth. Do not clean the frame or the textile with liquids.
